A plug-in sensor head offers improved false alarm immunity and simple installation, testing, and maintenance. An improved cover design isolates the sensor head from the low-flow feature for simple maintenance. The InnovairFlex D4120W watertight 4-wire photoelectric duct smoke detector is UL listed as a watertight enclosure providing protection against falling dirt, rain, windblown dust, splashing, and hose-directed water.

The design provides more wiring space with an added 3/4 inch conduit knockout. Numbers and labels for terminal designations are consistent with previous Innovair models. The new sampling tube can be clicked into position with one smooth motion from either the front or the back of the detector. The InnovairFlex D2 duct smoke detector has signals to indicate trouble and maintenance conditions. Additionally, a cover tamper feature is incorporated to indicate a trouble condition for a removed or improperly installed sensor cover. An improved cover design, with an integrated low-flow feature, isolates the sensor head from the low-flow technology for simple maintenance. The InnovairFlex series is designed for greater flexibility and reliable smoke detection to simplify installation and maintenance. 2D51 duct smoke detectors are low-profile photoelectric detectors designed for special applications, specifically for use in no-flow or low-flow air-handling systems (0 to 4,000 fpm). The pendant or plenum-mounted 2D51 detectors are intended to be installed into B210LP bases and wired to D4P120 power board-only control units. D4P120 power boards are capable of controlling up to two 2D51 sensors. Pendant mounted in a standard electrical box within ducts, the twist-in/twist-out heads allow easy removal from bases for quick cleaning and maintenance. 2D51 heads can be locally tested using a magnet or by using the test/reset pushbutton on the D4P120 power board.
